Description
A minor character for "The Wolf Chief", Blake will most likely not appear until the chapter taking place during the 2002 NRHS convention.
Blake was built in 1910 by Alco for the Lake Superior & Ispheming Railroad to haul iron ore in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Blake and his brothers, #19 and #20, and older sister, Harper, were purchased by the new formed Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, Arizona in 1987. In 1989, Blake was full restored in time to haul the inaugural train on the restored route to the Canyon. Blake was the regular power until Carla's restoration in 1996. By 2004, Blake was side lined when Harper was brought back into service and partly due to trains becoming too heavy for him. By 2007, Blake and #20 were traded to the Mt. Hood Railroad in Oregon in exchange for ex-Spokane, Portland & Settle 2-8-2 #539. The stint on the Mt. Hood RR was brief and the following year, both were sold to the San Luis & Rio Grande Railroad in Alamosa, CO. Today, Blake regularly hauls excursions over the La Veta Pass line and interchange with the Cumbres & Toltec.

Heheh, nice, I wonder if he misses being around Harper?
