Description
Built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in June 1919, the 3415 was delivered to the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway. This 4-6-2 was part of the railroad’s order 3400 class Pacifics. There were a total of 272 Pacifics on the Santa Fe, starting in 1903. After its retirement from passenger service in 1954, the 3415 was placed on display in a park in Abilene, Kansas. In 1996 the city donated the engine to Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad and began restoration in 2005. The engine pulled its first trip on the A&SV in 2009.

Ponyo: Ever notice that the rails of the A&SV stop just short of an active main line?
Fujimoto: You know, extend those rails and you've got a main line connection.
